Hockey isn't just a game — it's a lifestyle. It's early mornings and late nights, cold rinks, heavy bags, and the best people you'll ever meet. That's why we're called A Hockey Life. Welcome to it.
This started with a simple frustration: there's ice out there — open sheets, empty drop-ins, dead hours between practices — and no easy way to find it. If hockey is part of your life, you know the feeling of just wanting to skate and not knowing where.
So that's the mission, and it's the whole mission: open up the ice. Make finding and booking a skate as easy as it should have been all along — for the beer-leaguer, the kid learning to play, the parent trying to find a lesson, and the rinks trying to keep their lights on.
Success, for us, is walking into a rink and seeing it full of life. That's it. That's the finish line.
The rink gives us the open ice and the rate. That number is theirs, in full. No percentage, no contracts with teeth. It costs them nothing to let us try an open hour.
You pay a small service fee so the site can run — always its own line, never hidden in the ice price. $2.49 each for 1 or 2 spots on open hours; 3 or more, one payer, the lesser of that or 6% of the ice for those spots. Whole sheet is 6% once — on top of the rink’s rate, never out of it. No hidden charges. We'd rather you skate two or three times than get squeezed on one.
Name it below and we'll reach out. Or mention us at the desk next time you're there — it costs the rink nothing. Every rink that joins means more ice for everybody.
We'll try your open hours, handle the bookings, and put people in the building — at zero cost to you. You tell us the ice price. You get that number. If it doesn't fill, nothing is booked.
